Miss India Manasi Moghe

जगभरातील 86 देशांतील सुंदर महिलांना मागे टाकत व्हेनेझुएलाच्या गॅब्रिएला इस्लेर हिने यंदाचा 'मिस युनिव्हर्स'चा किताब पटकाविला आहे. या स्पर्धेत भारताचे प्रतिनिधित्व करत असलेली मानसी मोघे हिला पहिल्या दहा स्पर्धकांमध्ये स्थान मिळविण्यात यश आले होते. पण, अंतिम पाच स्पर्धकांमध्ये तिला स्थान मिळू शकले नाही. मानसी ही मुळची महाराष्ट्रातील चंद्रपूर येथील रहिवासी आहे.

Manasi Moghe is an engineer and model. She enjoys singing, dancing, music, practicing classical dance and playing the synthesizer, an electronic instrument capable of producing a wide range of sounds. While in school at St. Vincent Pallotti College, she spent her spare time working with blind students and advocating for the betterment of the poor with the Pallottine Youth Forum Social Service Committee. Since her childhood, she has had a passion for fashion and beauty pageants.

 My mother is the person who motivated me to take part in every activity, whether cultural, social or spiritual, and embedded in me the importance of family and human values.

   Manasi considers herself a “foodie” and gets fussy when she needs to change her diet.

   One of Manasi’s greatest accomplishments is passing the BE exams after having only a little time to study.

   मॉस्को - फ्लॅमेंको डान्सर म्हणून ओळख असलेली 25 वर्षीय इस्लेर ही व्हेनेझुएलातील टिव्ही कार्यक्रमांतही सहभागी होते. गेल्यावर्षीची मिस युनिव्हर्स असलेल्या अमेरिकेच्या ओलाव्हियो कल्पो हिच्या हस्ते इस्लेरला हा किताब देण्यात आला. या स्पर्धेत स्पेनची पेट्रासिया युरेना हि दुसऱ्या स्थानावर राहिली. तर, मिस इक्वेडोर झालेली कॉस्टांज बेज तिसऱ्या स्थानावर राहिली. 
   मिस युनिव्हर्सची स्पर्धा मॉस्कोतील क्रॉकस सिटी हॉलमध्ये ही स्पर्धा पार पडली. या स्पर्धेच्या 61 वर्षांच्या इतिहासात प्रथमच ही स्पर्धा रशियात झाली आहे.
